Recommended Posts

After a disaster upgrading my shop i plan to uninstall it and reinstall it back.

Now i had a completely new shop which is v1.4.6.2 but however there is no upgrade tab on it under tools. How to make it to appear so that in future i can upgrade my shop?

Hi goodboy88,

Please refer to this page. This is the update module and you should know that this feature is still experimental. I hope this helps.

Hi Stephen Bromfield,

Which page you are talking about as there are so many pages on it?

Besides, i'm talking about how to make the upgrade tab appear. There should be upgrade button for me to click under tools but there is totally no upgrade button for me to click on it. In my case, i totally cannot find the upgrade words on it. What i'm trying to say is once i click on the tools there should be an upgrade button for me to click right but there don't have this button for me to select.

So let me just make sure I understand, you have a new install of PrestaShop. After the install your login info was not correct and you reset your password. You were able to login once more, but then the password didn't work again after loging out. This is what happened?

Suggestion:

1/ Clear/purge your browser cookies

2/ Be sure to use your canonical url (www.shopname.com/admin_XYZ)

If nothing work, try regenerate a password. If still no luck I suggest you PM your FTP access so I can have a look.

Best,

Lets try to do a test. Do you have phpadmin installed? If you do, reset your password and then look at the database table called ps_employee. In this table there will be all of your login information, take note of what is being stored in the password field. Open another tab in your browser and then login to your back office. Next log out of your back office and try to log back in. If you can't log back in, go back to phpmyadmin and look at the ps_employee table again and check to see if the password field has changed. If the value in the password field is not the same we will test some other things.

Sorry, I wrote the wrong name. It's called phpmyadmin. It's a tool to view a mysql database. If your web host does not provide that for you, I'm sure they have some other way to view your database. You can PM me for more help if you like.
