תמיכה ב RTL

אני מניח שרובכם כאןמכירים את הבעיתיות של תמיכה בשפות כמו עיברית.
ראיתי שרבים פותרים את הבעיה בעזרת תימה מתאימה
אך זהו רק וורקאראונד מאחר וכל מעבר לתימה שונה מצריכה עידכון לעיברית,
בנוסף, אין אפשרות לתמוך בחניות מרובות שפות.

יש בכוונתי לעדכן את פרסטה לתמוך ברינדור של ימינה שמאלה על פי נתוני השפה שניבחרה. אך למרות שאני מתכננת אני בעל ניסין מועט בווב וניסיון מועט עוד יותר בפרסטה, ואני רוצה להמנע מכאב הראש שיכול להיווצר כאשר עידכונים למודולים ולפרסטה יצאו.

אני אעריך כל פידבק אשר יכול לעזור בזיהוי המיקם של עידכון או הפנייה לבעיתיות אשר לא זיהיתי

I will write in english as I am having difficultires embedding english technical terms, whose defintion in hebrew I am not familiar with, in an Hebrew sentence without corrupting the format, making it less than readable. Sorry if it poses any problems.

Well, I didn't even start, I am just evaluating the steps and the work needed.

There are 3 different items needed to be done in RTL languages
1. swap some of the blocks location.
2. Add RTL alignment and right direction to all visible text elements.
3. Probably some swapping between text/icon. i.e in the Basket block's header.

The following location are candidate for change so far:
1. The smarty template files (Whose workings I am about to study)
2. PHP files.
3. CSS files.

CSS is not conditional so the changes will have to be taken care of at either the Smarty templates and/or the PHP files.

The actions I am planning are fairly simple
1. Associating a language with a Boolean attribute (Left to right, Right to left)
2. A module PHP file will register the block's location according to the Boolean in step 1
3. Icon/Text swapping will be done according to the same logic as step 2.
4. PHP and/or Smarty template will add the alignment and direction to needed CSS elements (Under investigation).

Still under investigation:
1. Do the store's PHP/CSS need updating ? I guess not if a template alone can solve the problem (as I saw in some shops) but I am not yet entirely sure. I want a full solution and not a hack.
2. The impact on updating PrestaShop. Unless somebody in this forum answers me, I will have to contact the team. As you may see action 1 will require a change (Albeit small) in the data module. Module's code will also change. I don't want to do a one off fix suitable for one version. I would like to know how to integrate it with PrestaShop code or if anybody has a good idea on how to solve this problem without messing around with code that is doomed to be changed in the future.
3. As I mentioned above I am still not sure how to add aligment/direction to a CSS. I am investigating the best manner of doing so. I have some ideas but as I mentioned I didn't program web style for ages.

הרגיל אז פשוט למשוך

או משהוא דומה, כל דבר אחר ושינוי בקוד המקור עלול לגרום לבעיות בעידכוניםף בעיות אבטחה וגם אני לא חושב שזו הדרך הנכונה, את כל השינויים האלו ניתן לעשות בתבניות!

ככל שאני קורא את הקוד אני משוכנע שעל מנת ליצור פיתרון לא אירעי יש צורך לשנות קוד

למעשה אני רואה שגם התבניות עלולות להישתנות בגירסאות עתידיות

גם אני חשבתי בהתחלה ליצור ליצור שתי גירסאות
CSS
ולהישתמש בגירסה הנכונה על פי השפה למלרות שעדיין לא דחיתי זאת על הסף יש לזה מגרעות
1. טעינת 2 סי אס אס תשפיע על המיהירות (טריוואלי).
2. כל תימה תזדקק לעידכון סי אס אס והמטרה שלי היתה לבטל לחלוטין צורך זה

אני עדיין מקווה שאני אמצא דרך להפריד בין הסי אס אס של התימה לביו הגדרות הדורשות עידכון, אך כרגע אני סקפטי

אם לא אז ככל הניראה אני אצור קשר עוד יומיים שלושה(כשההיה מוכן) עם צוות הפיתוח על מנת לראות איך אני יכול לתרום ישר ל

שלהם כך שכל גירסא חדשה תתמוך ב 2 כיווני הכתיבה הדומיננטים.

there is another serious problem. once your Hebrew shop is done. You can not view your invoices or order status in Hebrew, due to the fact that Presta PDF cant read Hebrew font. Does anyone find a solution to this problem??? This is a major bug

i did get Hebrew font to render in pdf in the cvs version. but then again it is ltr so it is worthless.
