Can I Set Up A Product That Requires Multiple Packaes?

I have a few products that I need to break into multiple boxes for shipping.

when creating a product there is only one package information possible.

 

Is there a way to add multiple packages for a product to determine shipping?

 

or is there a way to have another product added to the product list if the main product is selected.

 

for example: if the cusotmer selects a kit the cart will add two products to the list.

this wold be to determine the packaging size and weight to determine shipping for the complete kit.

 

hopefully I explained it good enough to understand what I am looking for.
