Thibaud Samson
Did you properly set the permissions (reading and execution) recursively on install dir ?

Thibaud Samson
This error occured when the content of sql files (in install/sql/upgrade/*.sql) can't be read. If the permissions are properly set, I have no other idea for the origin of your problem.
andybr
you are right, I monitored that directory, and this one file is ALWAYS have 0 bytes : db_settings_lite.sql i did re-upload, edit that file directly, create file manually via cpanel but somehow the size is always back to 0 bytes. the problem was not from prestashop, instead i have to ask my hosting provider about this i will install on my other hosting server. i will post the result later... Thibaud Samson : thank you for your assistance
andybr
I found the problem. apparently, character from French language like ë, ç, è etc, cause problem on my hosting server. so I manually delete French words from db_settings_lite.sql and everything is ok now. Thibaud Samson
There's a better chance that the problem is coming from your FTP application than from your hosting service By the way, it's fine if everything works properly now.
