Understanding And Creating Vouchers

I am trying to implement the voucher system on a Prestashop site (v1.4.3). I have been reading up on various posts on vouchers but I still cannot grasp it fully.

 

I am looking to use the vouchers for the 'customer follow-up' module. I have the module installed and have set-up parameters for the second option (re-order).

 

The cron job runs but no email is sent out. Also, within the second option (re-order), it says that 'next process will send 1 email'. Why would it only send 1 email? In fact, if I enable any of the options, it says the same. I will want to enable the option for 'bad customers' to send an email to any customer who has not ordered in the last 30 days. I enabled this option but it still says that 1 email will be sent. Any suggestions as to why it will only send 1?

 

I know that vouchers can be created in Payment > Vouchers. Do I have to do this before the 'customer follow-up' will work? If so, how will the system know which voucher code to use?

 

I am keen to get this working as I want to follow up with sending vouchers to customers on their birthdays also.

 

Any help on this would be very much appreciated.
