ThaSniper
Hello. I just set Prestashop on my domain and received the initial admin user login credentials, and noticed something wrong. The "from" address is [email protected] and it shouldn't include the www. I've tryed to check on the mail templates but the "from" field isn't set there. I've searched the web around for a solution but I couldn't find it. What do you suggest I do?
bellini13
the from address is the shop email address located in the Preferences | Contact section of the back office
ThaSniper
Hello. I noticed that config before posting. But the "from" field on the email I got, doesn't match the one set in the Contact section. I hope that this only happens in the email generated at the initial setup. If so, not a problem. Thank you. bellini13
typically prestashop does not send you an email when you install. this email is likely from your hosting provider letting you know that the prestashop install was completed. did your hosting provider install this for you? perhaps something you requested in your cpanel? ThaSniper
Thats not the case. When you install Prestashop, there is a step where you set your name, email address, etc, with which you will be logging in the Back Office, and this address will be the shop email address too. There is a check box that you may select if you wish to receive this info (name, email address and password) by email. I checked it and received the email I'm talking about, From: [email protected]. If all other emails that prestashop will be sending are from the configured store email, we're good. If not, we have a problem with that www on the email address.
