Email Problems

Hello, suddenly something wrong happened and php mail() is no longer working, when i put SMPT details then test email went fine but contact form or order confirmation emails etc are not working.

 

When i put my shop email to "from" in contact form then its working, but all other emails are giving me error.

 

WHat is the cause ? i use 1.4.3 and it worked fine for months..

When you say order confirmation emails, do you mean what you recive on a sale or what your customer recieves when they purchase something?

 

Make sure the email alerts module is installed and configured.

i mean customer is making order, i got it on prestashop panel but i didnt get any confirmation email (you know "you have a new sale') - i was always getting it, and im not sure if customer got his confirmation email

 

php mail() stopped worked, even test emails are not working, when i switched to SMTP then test email is working fine but i still cant send emails to cuostmers via prestashop, also contact form is not working - i get error, its working only when i put my prestashop email in "from" field.

 

its very strange i dont know what is the cause, prestashop or my hosting provider. everything was working fine for 6 months and i didnt made any changes, suddenly yesterday all crashed

OK i've just got response from hosting provider that there are working on something so this should be the case.
