leoharsh
Hi...We want to add special currency symbol of Indian Rupee instead of writing "INR". How can we do this??
bellini13
i actually just had to do this last week. What worked for me was the following... Go to the following URL http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rupee under the section labelled "Alternative names and pronunciations", you will see the symbol, hopefully that is the symbol you are looking for. I have copied it here as well you should literally be able to highlight the symbol here and copy it. The go into your back office and paste it into the symbol field and save.

Thanks, I've done this but when viewed on Chrome in Windows, the product list prices are shown with an overlap of the symbol & first digit, making the price incorrect. bellini13
the problem is with your theme. that font-family "times New Roman" and font-weight "bold" combination seems to conflict with the symbol. you could try changing the font or remove the bold to fix the issue.

pritishnandi
The easy way, just include the following Javascript on your website header just before the closing </header> tag, just paste the following code to the header.tpl of your theme folder, it will convert all instances of Rs or Rs. to the Rupee font: <script src="//cdn.jsdelivr.net/rupyainr/1.0.0/rupyaINR.min.js"></script> [put http: before //cdn.] adding this on your website will convert every instance of Rs, Rs. and INR to Indian Rupee Symbol Rs (note that there should be a [space] after the rupee word - example : Rs [space]200) for more information: http://rupyainr.com/ Edited July 12, 2015 by pritishnandi (see edit history)
