El Patron
what version of PS are you using? Not supplying a minimum of information makes it difficult for the community to help, go to your back office (just guessing ps version) and copy and paste here tools>configuration information. in the interim, maybe you can try this: in the back office, preferences>performance>(set cache = No) then test your site. (make sure to turn this back on after testing) Did this have any affect?
soohan
It worked again after i clear my browser cache. What is the problem now? Do i need to clear cache everytime the problem occured?
Mike Kranzler
Hi soohan, You can either clear your Smarty cache through the Back Office by going to Preferences > Performance and enabling Force Compile whenever you're working on your site (but be sure to disable it once you're done!) or manually via FTP by deleting everything EXCEPT index.php in your tools/smarty/cache and tools/smarty/compile directories. You can actually find a good rundown on this topic here. I hope this helps. -Mike

soohan
In my tools/smarty/cache is empty. And I had deleted everything in tools/smarty/compile EXCEPT index.php What do you mean by "enabling Force Compile whenever you're working on your site"? While I am setting up my website? adding products?
Mike Kranzler
What do you mean by "enabling Force Compile whenever you're working on your site"? While I am setting up my website? adding products? What this means is that any time you're making changes to your site (theme, layout, etc.) you should have Force Compile enabled because that will ensure that you are seeing the most up-to-date version of your site, not a cached version. If you're seeing a cached version of your site, it may not reflect the changes you've already made. I hope this helps. -Mike
soohan
Okay. Thanks! Btw, can I keep it ON all the time?
Mike Kranzler
Okay. Thanks! Btw, can I keep it ON all the time? I wouldn't recommend it, because it will significantly slow down your site. It may not seem like an issue to you, but to your customers that can be a dealbreaker. Has your original issue been resolved? -Mike
