Move after discount expiration

Hi

Need some help from you. Want to make this:

1. Set discount through Price tab.

2. After dicount expires automatically move product to other category, for example "ENDED discounts".

Discount is indeed available thru price tab.

What is wrong with the actual discount system?

This will implies a lots of core mods

Which version of PS are you using?

Everything is fine with actual discount system. I want that after dicount expires product automatically moves to other category, for example "ENDED discounts"

Need to develop some sort of a module for that - not so much mods since now I understand better what you want. Requires still some effort and cron processing since the product does not change in fact.

 

Could certainly do, however I still don't really see the reason for. You make customers that miss the bargain unhappy. You screw your category tree, you kill your Search engine indexing ...

I am creating Groupon clone with Prestashop. One of the function - show ended deals. It could be made another way: automatically hide product (state to off) after dicount expires. Maybe you could help with it?
