eddieuk
There are far too many bugs in this to make commercial sense.Every step of the way I have had problems, it just doesn’t work.
yournamehere
For example? I haven't really had any problems...
jhnstcks
Ive been using Prestashop since September, for the site in my Signature, and havent really found any site breaking bugs, there were a few annoying bugs, but since I upgraded, everything is working fine.Have another site in the making right now which is nearly finished, using the current SVN version, and apart from a few bugs which I have reported still nothing site breaking. Dave Egerton
I am with the above comments -there are bugs but nothing that is site-breaking that I am aware ofYou don't actually give any specific information just a general "too many bugs in this to make commercial sense"
eddieuk
Well some of the things that annoy me are:Attributes: (Most Annoying)1. Every time I update a stock number or attribute it takes 15mins to update. So I have to remember in my head what attribute I have just updated. It can easily lead to mistakes. If I use the "duplicate product" when I change the product attributes they still display as the old ones for 15mins! Also I can’t touch them anyway for 15mins or it gives me an error saying product attribute already exists, very annoying! It makes my life hell and has added weeks to a 1 week web creation.Shopping Basket:2. I had to edit the code in the shopping basket to get it to display without the words over lapping. I fixed it but needed to ask for help.Images:3. When I upload an image it usually takes 15 minutes to actually appear, before that it appears as invalid. After uploading a category Image and saving it I have to go back into the edit menu before the image will appear correctly, it took ages to work out this quirky fix.Breadcrumbs:4. I had to give up trying to use the breadcrumbs because I couldn’t find out how to use them. I could only use it 2 deep, no more than that. That meant there was no need for me to create my own php pages. So I will just use the cms now, which isn't brilliant either, so I just use the html bit.Search:5. I understand there have been improvements. The search tool I have though does not include tags, which is extremely annoying. It makes it redundant.PayPal Pro:6. It also does not support PayPal website payments Pro, which is annoying!A lot of the modules don't work correctly7. Products Category v1.2.1: It does display the products from the same category but if you click on one it takes you to the product but does not include the correct breadcrumb path. It leaves out a layer or two. There are loads more bugs with the modules but I am not going to go through them all right now.
ruilong
if it takes 15min to upload a image and save an attribute, change from the low budget hosting service to a real one and it will go faster..

No it uploads in 5 seconds. It takes 15 minutes for it to appear on the site. Before the 15mins it appears as a broken image.
eddieuk
The CMS also won't allow me to write "European Union", it gives an error if I write it.
Xoda
The CMS also won't allow me to write "European Union", it gives an error if I write it. Ahhh, that's why I could not create my Zone (see other thread). Now I tried "EU" and it worked. Does the developers not like the European Union? On the topic: Otherwise I think it's actually the best free shop Ive tried so far. I'm running a Zencart store also and it's things in PrestaShop seems much more logic to me. Glad I was of help to you!Yeah, I tried EU and it worked fine. Who would have thought though?! It has so many annoying quirks that you have to figure out for yourself. It is certainly the best looking open source e-commerce but has the most bugs!
ruilong
the word UNION is in the blacklist for security reasons (it's a SQL word) but it can be removed from this by editing the database file
CMC
It's your web hosting! Try these people: No add on this forum ! [Edit by Zendik]. You're lucky though. My attributes never show up, have to be deleted through phpmyAdmin, and I just had 5 blank entries randomly created for no reason (they did not show up in prestashop admin, so i had to delete them through phpmyadmin)!
