jaimeweb
Hi All, The out of stock message on a product is not appearing when the visitor first clicks on to the product. If the default combination is out of stock it doesnt automatically show the out of stock message. Can anyone help? Or is it possible to add "Please Select" on the drop down attributes on a product. Although i have over 1000 products so I would need a quick fix to do that. Any hepl would be great. I am on version 1.2.
Mike Kranzler
Hi jaimeweb, Can you please post the URL to a product currently having this issue so that I can look into this for you? Additionally, have you considered upgrading to a newer version of PrestaShop? Version 1.2.5 is a pretty old release, and I would definitely suggest that you upgrade to not only get the latest features and fixes and get better support on the forums, but also so that you can take advantage of our new autoupgrade module in the future that is only compatible with version 1.3 and up. -Mike
jaimeweb
Hi Mike, I really do want to upgrade but I really cannot lose my site. And I am in fear that something will go wronge. It is heavily modified. We have over 8000 customers and over 9000 orders. And about 400 products resulting in about 6000 combinations. I have PM'ed you our URL. Thanks for any help you can give. Mike Kranzler
Hi jaimeweb, I'm still looking into this for you, but I just noticed that the original product you sent me as an example is now showing up as out of stock right away. Is there another direct link you can send me so that I can confirm you're still dealing with this issue? -Mike
Mike Kranzler
Hi jaimeweb, I'm still looking into this, but in the meantime the best thing to do may be to create a new bug report so that our entire development team can look into this for you since it appears to be a bit more advanced of an issue. Once you've done so, please post the link here so that I can be sure to monitor our team's progress for you! -Mike
Mike Kranzler
For anyone looking for an answer on this thread, it turned out to be an error in the header that was causing this issue. I'll go ahead and mark this as solved, and hopefully jaimeweb will pop onto this thread to provide some more information on what exactly needed to be fixed. -Mike
