markus.dembach
Hi Guys, whats still missing in Prestashop is a workflow for each delivery-payment combination. so if one step is completed there are only some (not all options) to chose from, what the next step is. easier for the workers to know, which state of the order is the next and what to do...and also more logical. ie.: payment on pickup this workflow would look like this: order - confirmation (manually optional) - in progress (manually optional) - ready for pickup - picked and paid -> automatically completed successfully but also there should the possibility to have exceptions like : delivery failed, occasionally out of stock, payment not received with a certain time, not picked up within a certain time, ... and so on. there should be some predefined workflows for easy copy and modify. thanks and go on like this... love the new BO of 1.5 - looking forward to HTML5 and pure PHP without smarty Markus
Paul / 01media
Hi Marcus I agree. But work flow is actually all the work the merchant must do from receiving the order, changing for it, packing it and shipping. When you have few orders and one employee it's not so critical how the backoffice looks and works. Than more order you get than more important is that the works flow is very clear and maximal automated. When you have 10,50 or 100 orders a day to process, and maybe 5-10 employees, the work flow of taking care of the orders must be very streamlined. It's crtical how the backoffice (order administration) looks and works. There is few scenarios of how different merchants may like to work. My point is, prestashop is great but there is a lack of this kind of features/thinking when it comes to orders and back-office. I look forward to find this kind of improvements in near future. Or maybe I let some programmer do a module improving the order processing work flow.
