bellini13
what issues did you encounter in the upgrade from 1.2.5? I have upgraded from this version in the past successfully.
dribblef
It was a great deal of effort and starting from fresh seemed the safest bet I am just working on the Fatal error (Employee -> id_lang is empty) issue after I transfered the old database
theme_designer
Did you export your old data as CSV file?
dribblef
no all I did was point my new install to the old database with all the stock on it and I get that error lang issues when trying to login to the prestashop panel. Can you explain a bit more about export my old data to a CSV file how do you do that and which data needs to be done.
Rhapsody
You can't just point a fresh install at the newer version to an old version database because there are database structure changes made. That is why there is an update script. The script detects the version in your existing settings.inc.php file to determine what portions of the upgrade script for database updates are required.
