Google Analytics Goal Tracking Not Working!

Hi there,

 

I set up my Google Analytics goals for the website www.sweetbasel.ch

 

Goal Type: URL Destination

Goal URL: /order-confirmation.php

Match Type: regular expression match

Goal Value: 0

 

Use funnel: yes

 

Step 1: /order/step0.html (required step: no)

Step 2: /authentication.php

Step 3: /order/step1.html

Step 4: /order/step2.html

Step 5: /order/step3.html

 

 

Now the problem is that it's not tracking the order-confirmation correctly. It tracked it twice out of like 20 completed orders. All other steps, however, are tracked correctly. The exits after step3 sometimes point to /order/step4.html. In the content overview I see that the order-confirmation has been loaded several more times. I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong.

 

Can you please help me??

Hi, sorry to bring back this thread but I'm having exactly the same problem. However in my case even the step towards the goal aren't tracked. I used the same URLs as you did, though since I have my store in a sub-directory like www.mysite.com/shop/ I also tried to attach /shop/ at the beginning of each step's URL. Yet there aren't any results coming in.

Does this have anything to do with the language-specific part of the URL? My store is in german too and therefor also uses /de/ but at least for you the individual steps on the way to the goal work - did you fix your issues yet?
