kinkibcn
Hi, I am using PS v 1.4.2.5 and there is no way to properly configure SMTP email in my hosting 1and1. The configuration I have been trying is: Mail domain: http://www.kdekids.es SMTP server: smtp.1and1.es SMTP user: [email protected] SMTP password: ************ Encryption: SSL Port: 25 With this configuration, when I send an email test, the aplication do not do anything and remains inside a loop. Please, Is there anyone that could help me ? Thanks a lot

phrasespot
Try logging into your smtp server manually, then do the same from your server if you have access to a console. Can you?

Hi, thanks again, unfortunately I do not have access to server console, but I can access to 1and1 smtp server via telnet smtp.1and1.es 25 without any problem. phrasespot
Mail domain: http://www.kdekids.es Encryption: SSL Port: 25 Ah, I just noticed. First of all just use www.kdekids.es. no http. (or just leave that field blank). then smtp servers which accept ssl usually do it on another port, not 25. so either select none instead of of ssl or figure out which port (possibly 465) ssl connection should be made, after making sure ssl on smtp is available (not always). Hi, I just tried your suggestion and there is nothing to do ... it does not work at all ... but I have one doubt about SMTP user ... Which one is correct, [email protected] or info.kdekids.es ? And another question, do you know how configure it to use a gmail account ? Thanks a lot
phrasespot
I have one doubt about SMTP user ... Which one is correct, [email protected] or info.kdekids.es ? well, you just said: I can access to 1and1 smtp server via telnet smtp.1and1.es 25 without any problem. If there was a problem with the username, above would not happen. Did you actually send an email successfully as shown in the link I posted? do you know how configure it to use a gmail account ? There is already a thread about it. Do a search in forums.
