made to measure products

Hi guys,

 

I'm wondering what the best/easiest way to set up made-to-measure products is in prestashop.

 

Specifically it's made to measure blinds and curtains, so sizes will consist of a width and drop, which can be anywhere from say 12" (30cm) right up to 120" (4m).

 

Obviously I'd like to avoid putting every possible variation in as a separate combination... so what would be the advisable way of configuring made-to-measure products?

maybe there's a module or plugin for made-to-measure products? I can't believe I'm the only person who want to use prestashop so such a product.

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

i'm pretty sure you need to use combinations. tomer makes an advanced module that expands on the default prestashop functionality, you might want to review it.

Thanks for your reply Bellini13... what's the max number of combinations i can use in prestashop out-of-the-box?

About 1,000 - 3,000 combinations per product, beyond that you will start getting out of memory errors and slowdown in the product page.

 

Our module can get you very close to what you need, as it has the capability to use dynamic combinations and change the price.

You probably want a textbox where the customer can manually enter a width / height and will get the appropriate price.
