RonS
Hi All,New here and have been looking over the forums for some answers before making the HUGE switch to PS. So far I have not found what I am looking for so I am seeking your assistance. Software looks very very promisng and seems to be easy on the store owners from the admin side as far as setting up the storefront.I am currently running 2 stores with Magento and there is just to much involved in there packages. One of my stores is a fairly large store of 3500+ items and the other is alot smaller with aroung 400 items. I will also be opening up probably another 2 stores within the next couple of months. My questions are?1) anyone here ever make the jump from Magento to PS? If so how much trouble was it importing your products? I know there will need to be some modifications to the csv files if thats the method of import.2) Does PS Support Gift Certificates/Cards as well as Gift Registry?3) Now my biggest thing is a shipping function that I really need and this will be basically the deciding factor. I need specific Shipping setup to handle the following as this is how I am charged shipping from my distributors.Cart total of $35.00 and below FIXED shipping of $7.95All Cart orderd over $35.00 will be charged 25% of total Cart Amount.4) In/Out/Low Stock email notifications to the customers. One of our new stores will be strictly wholesale sales only and the retailers will need to know the stock levels which could be emailed to them.Thank you for your time in advance for your help, Very much appreciated.RonS. TropischBruin
Why would you switch if for now your shops do what you want/need?PS is far from perfect and has many issues to be fixt. When the next "stabel" release will be is still unknown.I myself would not switch if there is no need for it.There are problems with the Shipping in the way you want to set it up.Importing large number of products with the import tool is a hells-way to get it to work. There are no Gift certificats atm. and the way Vouchers behave are unusable.I do not think that there is a Stock notification for customers atm.Sorry to bring you the bad news but that is the way it is atm.
