how2 change write permissions for all subfolders recursively in one go

My Admin panel ---> tools---> configuration requires these changes

 

 

 

Required parameters: Please fix the following error(s)

• Set write permissions for "sitemap.xml" file
  
• Set write permissions for "img" folder and subfolders, recursively
  
• Set write permissions for "mails" folder and subfolders, recursively
  
• Set write permissions for "modules" folder and subfolders, recursively
  
• Set write permissions for "themes/prestashop_new/lang/" folder and subfolders, recursively
  
• Set write permissions for "translations" folder and subfolders, recursively
  
• Set write permissions for "upload" folder and subfolders, recursively
  
• Set write permissions for "download" folder and subfolders, recursively
  

 

but through my hosting control panel file manager i have to manually change write permission for each and every folder and its subfolders and file. it is a very tedious task and certainly not a professional way of doing it.

 

 

any solutions for it...

use filezilla to do that. you can put write permissons with right clic, and select apply to subfolders / archives
