Hi ,

 

i am still looking for automated workflows beeing build into the standard Shop of Presta.

Also there should be a COP (Cash on Pickup) Option built in.

For some special payment/delivery there should be a workflow editor for the working steps.

i.e. normal parcel with bank transfer:

incoming - shopping cart accepted -waiting for payment - payment acceped - processing - on delivery - delivered (finished)

 

a workflow for COP looks a little bit different:

incoming - shopping cart accepted - processing - ready for pickup - picked and paid (finished)

 

the workflows for each payment / delivery combination should be alternatable....

My major concerns that is taking me a lot of time to fix are:

- Taxes not displaying properly for a North American ecommerce shop

- Pink everywhere and it is driving me nuts

- Returns are only available when the order is delivered but most of us do not check delivery.

- There should be an option to make the invoice # the same as the order #

- And the tracking number area should be visible before the item becomes shipped.

 

Other than the 100s of hours of coding to make it work for a North american store, it is a good software.

They already improved it in 1.4, images are sorted into subfolders like /p/1/0 /p/1/1 and so on depening on image id.

Does that only apply to new images or product submitted or can I go through and have it fix the mound of images I have already uploaded? I ask this only cause all I did was upload and to the upgrade I haven't gone through the settings to see if this is possible I just assume it is not... currently. But thanks for the heads up!

Ok, I have to take back what I previously said this morning without look.

 

Having 1.4.7.0 installed I do show in -> Preferences -> Image;

 

that it does at the very bottom talk about moving images. Awesome! I will play with this later today! Thanks for the update ruilong!

It is highly important feature. Otherwise customers have to re-login on every subshop and checkout only within certain subshop.

Wait for the "stable" release then try to test this feature.

Ok I can understand that sharing carts between shops is complex. Maybe you have different currencies, payment options different warehouses, staff and so on attached to the different store instances. To connect that all together might have more downsides than advantages for most people. What I do not understand is why share customers is disabled?

Warning: you will not be able to disable this option once you have customers registered on at least one shop of this group.

I think the implemetation is really simple even with the possibilty of disabling the feature per shop goup afterwards. But wait, I think the problem is that the shop association is stored in the ps_customer table.

Now when the shop manager of store B deletes a customer and will disappear for shop A too but maybe the customer already placed on order in shop A. So maybe PS has chosen to disable these features because they are simply not production ready ?

 

Maybe you post your comment to the bug tracker and hope that someone will answer the request or give a timeline when that might be enabled.

I also would like to ask:

Share available quantities to sell between shops of this group. When changing this option, all products available quantities for this group will be reset to 0.

^^Is this option needed?

I think it is better better to use the advanced stock management or am I missing something?

Thanks Nick for the comment, but while we are testing on RC2 we want to find the answer.

As far as we and our theme developer understand that 1.5 is not supporting shopping cart share and customer login status across subshops? Or we missing something?

 

As it works right now in our test environment:

 

If customer have registered in any shop he can authorize in any multistore shop no problem. However his logon status is not passing when he navigates between the shops (so customer needs to authorize on every shop) also it is not possible to add to the shopping cart things from different subshops (cart content is not passing between subshops).

 

Anyone can comment on this please?
