to2bebe & Kids
Hello , My page is runnung since a few weeks and i am quiet happy about it. I was just wondering if its is possible to change in SEO&URL the index.php from maximum 256 characters to for example 800? I think I found it back in the PHP admin under ps_product_lang. What is the effect of this and it is recommanded to do ? My questions comes because the competance of one of my onlineshops who uses in there index more tham 800 caracters... Thankx a lot for you time , greeting, david www.to2bebe.com
Mister Denial
Hi David, I would not recommend using more than 10 meta keywords anyways, because more than that could be considered to be keyword stuffing. So unless you have reaaaaalllllyyyy long words, 256 characters should be plenty enough. Also, if you go after Google, don't sweat so much about meta keywords, Google does not use them anyways. Hope that helps! Greetings, Dan
tdr170
Not only that but the crawlers will not read all of those keywords anyway they are lazy and get tired after just a few per page. (not kidding) I have read that they only read the first two or three. Google it !!

jeyjoo
Hey, The keyword meta tag is ignored by Google. Further, it just offers any competitors a quick way to yoink your keyword list. Far more useful to encorporate your KWs throughout your page. I removed the keyword meta tag a 6 months ago from my website, and it had positive impact on visits if anything. As a rule you only optimise for 1-2 keywords per page (you would be hard pushed to rank well for more than 3 keywords from any one page). Make sure your keyword it in your title tag, h1 tag, and you have an image on the page with the keywords in. Hope that helps
