CPG2
Hi, I have prestashop module paypal and it's the only method I implemented for payments. Do I need to install a SSL certificate on my store?? Because on checkout, the module redirects to the paypal payment page wich is already open on a secure page. shoulders
it is a while since i read up on this but i believe there is 2 ways (or was) of taking paypal payments, paypal and paypal pro. one like what you describe where it just redirects you and then send the confirmation back via an ipn, this is the standard paypal method. the second, paypal pro, utilises an api and requires a SSL as per paypals terms. It will also not work if a SSL is not installed. so my guess is you do not need a SSL installed using this method. I am sure there use to be 2 x paypal modules in paypal, one pro and one not. hope this helps
CPG2
Hi Shoulders, Thanks for your reply. Well, I have the paypal module installed and the api and that stuff, I already simulate one sell and on payment I'm redirect to the paypal secure page, so, my guessing and by reaing your post is that I don't need SSL certificate. Thanks for your reply, it helps Luis Regards
