Awaiting paypal payment

Recommended Posts

After following some posts here to configure my paypal account, and installing the Paul C beta2 paypal module, when a client make an order, i always get "awaiting paypal payment" in my BO --> Orders, instead i've received the payment in my paypal bussines account.

Also the client receive an eamil confirmation of the order before the payment on paypal.

As i said before, i have followed every post about paypal problems looking for a solution, but i'm lost and need help.

I'm using Prestashop 1.1 final edition, my paypal account is configured as said in FAQ here, and verified.

When i installed prestashop in my hosting (strato) i had to create an .htaccess with the following code to solve a problem with php5: "AddType application/x-httpd-php5 .php .php4 .php3 .php5"

I've read in a post that my problem could come due to use an .htacces, but the code doesn´t include anything about user and password, and i receive the "awaiting paypal payment" state, so my paypal account is communicating with validation.php (paypal module).. that works, so i think this is not the clue to follow..

i miss a lot some documentation about paypal configuration, but see a lot of prestashop sites working, i would like to contribute in making a guide at the moment i have my own prestashop running for those who are lost like me, and don-t want to give it up...

Please, any help is welcome.

Sorry for my english, is not quite good ;)

I'm having a similar problem and posted about it, but haven't gotten any responses. My problem is that the payment goes through & I get confirmation e-mails before I hit "Pay Now" on the paypal website. Have you been able to resolve this problem? Is no one else experiencing this?

about receiving confirmation e-mail before hitting "Pay Now" on paypal site, this is the answer I got:

That's part of the fudge in getting it to work I'm afraid. The problem with the original module was that IF there was a problem or indeed a delay with PayPal processing the payment (an eCheck for example can take several days to clear) then the customer cart isn't emptied and no order is created.

To get around this situation this version of the PayPal module actually creates the order when the customer leaves to go to the paypal site. The order is created with a "pending" status, and it assumes that the customer has placed the order by clicking the pay button - a compromise and still not ideal.

It does allow you though to check the payment status in PayPal and manually change the order status, should you need to.

Hi Folks,
I too have not been able to get this to work.

1) With the default paypal module (which ships with Prestashop), my orders eventually fail.
2) With the [Paul C] beta2 download from ecartservice.net, I get a "Hack Attempt" error.

it would be great to have a definitive troubleshooting guide somewhere as Prestashop seems so wonderful otherwise - I am happy to host a guide! :-)

Hi there,

This is very older post but to i am replying for those who are having this error still or new to prestashop.

If you are getting this error.

"Unfortunately, an error occurred during the transaction.
Please double-check your credit card details and try again. If you need further assistance, feel free to contact us anytime."

To solve this is issue just simple solution is there if error is related to this.

I was getting error when i pay from paypal. Order is generated to admin with "Awaiting paypal payment".

For this status there are some setting here

Just go to order->statues.

Edit statues for which you are getting error.

Click checkbox for  "Consider the associated order as validated." and save.

Enjoy :-)
