Hourly Inventory Update through FTP

Hi,

 

I have a website which has about 5,000 products. My supplier provides me with an inventory file on his FTP which I have to manually download daily and then upload on my prestashop website.

 

how can I automate this process?

 

I heard of setting up cron jobs but I am not sure how I can do that.

 

If someone can guide me about cron jobs then definitely I'll do it myself. Just need some guidance.

Hello Rayan!

 

You can set up cron jobs (on Windows platforms it is called Scheduled Task) in the control panel of your website.

 

You can set the time and frequency of the cron job, you also need to add the command to run.
