setting up new store - usps module question

I've just installed PrestaShop and am setting it up for the first time.

 

USPS carrier module - the version that installed with the shop is U.S.P.S. Rate Calulator v1.2.1. I see on a related forum that there is a newer version with fixes. I've been trying to upgrade the module using zip file from here: http://forge.prestas...owse/PSCFI-3189

 

Tried to uplaod the uspscarrier.zip file through the Modules page from my computer but I get no message, either success or error, and the newer version doesn't appear in the list of modules.

 

What am I missing?

 

Can I upload to the appropriate directory via FTP? Do I need to delete older folder?
