Changing block titles

I want to change the titles of some of my blocks but editing the .tpl doesn't seem to be working. Any ideas?

Just tried it in a different browser to no avail. Still didn't change. I thought at first that maybe because my site is hosted on a shared server (GoDaddy fails) that they weren't integrating my changes or the servers were mitigating data and my FTP changes had not made it in yet but when I do something like delete an image from the server-side folders, the site will display a broken image icon for whatever particular image I remove.

 

This is silly. What gives?

Turn on force compile and turn off cache in back-end>preferences>performance

In BO go to Tools>Translations, select module translations from the drop down and click the flag.

 

Use Ctrl f to bring the search box up and use it to find the word you are wanting to change.

 

It's case sensitive so use the correct search term.

 

Editing stuff in .tpl files often provides a solution but is far from the best way as you will lose all these .tpl edits next time you upgrade.

However, sometimes it is unavoidable so make sure you back up a copy of all your edited files so you can use them after upgrades.
