Domain name change problems

I've encountered some problems after changing the domain name and was hoping you guys can help. A quick overview of the steps I've taken so far.

 

I contacted the server administrator and asked to have the domain name changed.

 

I followed the directions on this website and made the changes.

I didn't make any changes in the /config/setting.inc.php since prestashop was installed in the root directory and PS_BASE_URI_', '/') looks right.

 

Now I'm stumped as to what steps I need to take to login to the BO.

I don't think you need to make any changes to the database tables at all.

 

You can make the required changes in Preferences>SEO & URLs.

 

To log into the BO use the same URL as before but with the new domain name.

 

http://myolddomain/admin/

 

to

 

http://mynewdomain/admin/

 

Where admin is whatever you had renamed the admin folder name to after the initial install.

I though it was a simple matter of changing

 

http://myolddomain.com/admin/login.php

 

to

 

http://mynewdomain.com/admin/login.php

 

but I'm getting an error page. http error 404.0 - not found.

 

Any ideas as to the reason for this error?

*I forgot to point the domain to the servers. Hopefully that resolves the issue.
