[SOLVED] PrestaShop Installation Problem

Hello

i have the database connected

the email sent .

and when i hit the next button it tells me the old settins.inc.php error.

i want to start building my shop.

What is the exact error you are getting with settings.inc.php?

here it is.

 

Can't create settings file, if /config/settings.inc.php exists, please give the public write permissions to this file, otherwise please create a file named settings.inc.php in config directory.

 

i created a file with the above name and it still didnt let me install.

saying that the file i created didnt have anycode in it at all dont know if that helps you.

i also turned on write permisions.

Just to make sure, you did not have any settings.inc.php file in the /config directory of your FTP?

Hi w1dg3t,

You'll need to set write permissions for the whole config directory, not just the settings.inc.php file. Once you've done that, please let me know if that resolves your issue.
