phrasespot
Ensure you have a dedicated IP for the domain with the SSL certificate and the correct port for SSL is set in server config. Usually this problem occurs because the request is sent to port 80.
Higgins38
Hi and thanks, Phrasespot, As I'm a newbie on shops, would you mind guiding me on where to verify or set up these IP and certificates ? If 80 is a wrong port, which one can I choose ? Thanks a lot... François
phrasespot
If 80 is a wrong port, which one can I choose? You do not provide nearly enough information for meaningful help. Post 80 is the standard port for plain text communication and port 443 is used for SSL communications (though you can set it to be anything if you have a reason to do so, just not the same port as the port serving the clear text). As I'm a newbie on shops, The SSL setup is independent of the PrestaShop and is done at the server level. How you set it up depends on whether you own your server, running a VPS or a shared server etc. Follow the documentation for the server or the hosting method you are using. Here is, for example, relevant Apache or cPanel docs. If using something different there will be similar docs for too. Once you have the SSL setup correctly on the server, then PrestaShop should not have any problem using it.
