Problem with htmlentities when creating a new account

Hello,

 

I encounter the following issue:

When creating a new account, for example at the beginning of the checkout process, and entering some umlauts our other special characters like é or à e.g. in the name field and not filling in all mandatory fields, the form fields contain the html entities for the special chars, instead of the special chars theirselves after submitting the form:

 

 

Does anyone know the cause of this issue?
