Urgent Help With Shipping

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am in need of urgent help with shipping. I have spent the last day changing every item in my shop so it has a specific weight every item is different. I have then adjusted the carriers, weights and prices to reflect this but for some reason when I test it I get the error 'There are no carriers available that deliver to this address.' and I cant figure out why?

Here are some screen shots to explain what I have done.

Shipping prices by weight:

Carriers:

Can anyone see anything out of place im hoping its something very obvious that I have overlooked but I cant see it myself.

Thanks

Ben

Many of your links show the same image so your setting cannot be seen.

However, the first thing that jumps out are your weight ranges. You have gaps in them. Weight ranges are eclusive/inclusive which is from value 1 uo to but excluding value 2, from and including value 2 to but excluding value 3. etc.

You should have:

0 kg - 1 kg

1 kg - 2 kg

2 kg - 3 kg

etc....

Hi sorry about that its fixed now.

My weight ranges are setup like this below so they dont overlap, I was under the impression if you done it they way your suggesting and a product weighs 2kg how does it know which price it is as there are 2 entries

0 - 1

1.1 - 2

2.1 - 3

etc

Hi Ben

Because as explained the weight range is exclusive/inclusive.

So in the above example:

From 0 kg up to, but not including 1 kg

From 1 kg up to, but not including 2 kg

From 2 kg up to, but not including 3 kg

So it your product is 2 kg it would fall into the From 2 kg up to, but not including 3 kg range.

No, you still have gaps in your weight range.

In your example tell me where a product weight of 1.15.kg fits in?

And before you say 'but I don't have any products of that weight' it's not all to do with what products you have, it''s how the script works.

Have a look where you enter a weight range, it tells you there (see attached image)

But hey, it's your shop, you do whatever you wish.

I dont have any products that weight. Basically my products dont go by weight the weight is a reference number to the shipping cost.

for example a rear panel might weigh 1kg in life but on the shop its down as 3kg because the postage isnt consistant to the weight when I quote. This way is a perfect setup for me and I can add endless amounts of weights and use that as a reference to one product with different prices accross the carriers. I know its probably not the way most people do it but its the only way I can with the nature of my business.

What you have said has worked, all my products are now set how they should be :)

Thanks very much for your help.
