[SOLVED] SEO friendly URLs = categories not working

Hi everyone,

 

I know this is a topic that has been covered before, but I simply cannot get my website to work, so please help me.

 

When i turn friendly URLs on, it changes the links fx in the category box all right, but it adds numbers, e.g. "greeneyedesign.dk/11-guld-oreringe.html" when in fact the seo friendly url i had put in this category is "guld-oreringe".

 

And the links don't work, i just get 404.

 

My htcaccess file is empty - is this the problem?

 

 

Edit:

I solved the problem, I just had to do things in the right order.

(First check "use friendly URLs", THEN update the htcaccess file in Tools > Generators).
