HELP - Site layout messed up out of the blue!

I have had my site up and running for quite a while and today when I was updating some product info and checking out some pf the product pages I noticed that some of the layout is messed up. On product pages, instead of the short description (where the "more details" button is), color options, and pricing being to the right of the product image, everything is stacked up vertically in the middle of the pages ot he layout for products is messed up! Can anyone give me help on what might have happened and how to fix this?

Sorry I missed the above post before. Although it did not occur for me after I upgraded to 1.4... but apparently did it when I was working on fixing website speed through enabling CCC settings. It's kind of worthless to offer these settings to improve site speed and seo if it is going to mess up the site. Anyone know if this will be or was fixed in any upgrades. I sometimes hesitate to do upgrades sometimes because it can cause problems, but everyone's feedback and support really helps.
