markthedoc
Hi I'm sure there's an easy way to do this. What I want to do is just show United Kingdom as a dropdown option when a customer is checking out or registering. I don't ship to anywhere except for the UK so only want this as an option. Thanks in advance for any help with this
Guest
It may be to do with Preferences > Geolocation. Though I have never played with it To my mind I will ship anywhere. If the customer is willing to pay the cost of shipping why should I stand in their way? We are UK, and a few days ago I posted 1 bolt to Australia! But of course it does depend on you products I would also but a big notice that you only ship to the UK, last thing people want is to get part way through the ordering process before they find out they cannot "select" their country
AlexHaigh
Hi, Bearing in mind I am a newbie to all this and still figuring it out. I think it's a Zone Thing, In the Shipping > Zones Setup a Zone called United Kingdom, If you use say Parcel Force you can then match their zones i.e. Zone One Mainland UK, Zone Two (Highlands and Islands) Zone Three etc. Alternatively use the European Zone and use the filter to un-tick all the other countries except the UK. Either method seems to work, but the first one will give you a UK specific carriage set-up. Alex.
Dave L
Simply de-activate all countries except for the UK. It's a painful job given how many countries are there. However, if are familiar with phpMyAdim you can run a query SEE HERE which will do the job in seconds. Now when someone registers only the UK will be an option.
