500 Internal Server Error when regenerating thumbnails

Hello,

 

I keep coming across 500 errors when regenrating thumbnails. It seems like it is too much work for my server even though I am on a good package. It will let me do the categories seperately but not the products. Even if I break it down to say medium size.

 

I only have a few hundred products, I know some people have thousands.

 

Any ideas on code to add to htaccess or something to stop this error? It also appears on large CSV imports.

Are you using the new image system?

 

Are you also regenerating all the products at the same time or one at a time ? (home then large then etc.)
