jjc
I am having trouble importing attributes. I followed directions and can successfully create a CSV file. Then successfully upload it. That isn't a problem. The problem is I already have a pre-defined set of attibutes with values. I am trying to get the new product to use these predefined values, but it does not, it just sticks text in the attribute area. For example, one of my attribute groups is called 01 IP Rating values can be IP20 or IP55 when doing the CSV import I can see 01 IP Rating : IP 20 but then I can still add the attribute and see the following 01 IP Rating : IP 20 01 IP Rating : IP 20 or 01 IP Rating : IP 20 01 IP Rating : IP 55 Notice the extra spaces after the second one? The exact text in my csv file is this 01 IP Rating : IP55 ANy help?

jjc
This was never solved, but seems like it is unreproducable. I ended up importing them all with a different attribute and then changing the attribute value in the database using a search and replace command. SO I worked around the problem
