Wierd autogenerated thumbnails with padding

Hello,

 

I'm new to prestashop, I'm customizing the default theme but the thumbnails looks like this:

how to remove the top / bottom "padding" ?

That is generated by the thumbnails engine, I'm pretty sure that is not the css the problem

My first reaction is that you need to crop your images 1:1 (square) before uploading / inserting. Most likely your theme has set all of its images to that aspect ratio. The best way to check is to go to your back office: Preferences tab / Image tab and have a look at the height and width.

1:1 did the job

I updated the picture that were not "squared" and was all good after that!
