CharlotteCeramics
Hello, I'm fairly new to Prestashop and have been setting up my store over the past week or so. I've noticed that extra shipping is being charged on all products at the checkout. For example, I set up a test product at a price of £0.01, plus shipping at £0.01. I expected the total to come to £0.02 at the checkout but it shows as £5.02, with the shipping being £5.01. As far as I can see, all taxes and handling fees have been disabled as I don't require them. Am I missing something else? Will appreciate any help! CharlotteCeramics
Can anyone help with this? I am eager to get my store live to customers but the extra shipping is a big problem that needs to be fixed first. Please help!
CharlotteCeramics
I've just found this... When a customer purchases a product in your online store, PrestaShop first checks whether or not the customer resides in a state. If so, the tax is applied according to the tax behavior that the merchant sets up in Back Office >> Shipping >> States >> the state in question. If the customer resides in a country but not in a state, PrestaShop applies taxes according to product tax and zone only. -- I'm wondering if this has something to do with the extra shipping amount being charged? However in my back office there are no States listed, all have been removed. I'm UK based and only want my products to be listed with UK shipping prices. Help! tomerg3
Hard top say anything based on the info you provided. What PS version do you have? How did you define shipping? (weight or price). Did you define the ranges + fees? Can you provied some screen shots?
CharlotteCeramics
I fixed this... after some looking around I found that the extra shipping was being charged under Shipping>Fees. I selected 'my carrier' and the amount was already preset to £5, so I changed it to £0.
