Integrating PrestaShop into existing website

I have a website and domain and assumed (not computer smart here at all) that I could set up the store as an additional page on my store.

 

Example: www.mystore.com and then have tabs on my home page, one being "shop" that would take you over to www.mystore.com/shop (which is the format of the URL I chose for my store).

 

I just assumed that I would then add the file to my regular site and cha-ching

 

But I went to add a Links Module to put links to my main site, about us tab, etc, and I can't get it to work, so now I think I screwed everything up.

 

Did I go about this all wrong?
