New guy question, trying to move modules

I have been doing searches for awhile.

I'm trying to move the categories module to the center top of the page.

I seem to only find information on how to move it to the left or to the right.

 

Is this possible?

Version 1.4.5.1. Just downloaded it Friday.

Current theme is the stock Prestashop one ( I think I just want to modify this one to look the way I want)

Trying to move the Categories box. The one that lists your categories and subcategories.

The PrestaShop Category module displays only on left or right column. This is by design.

 

There is one tips, to display the category list on center column : this is in using the URL http://<yourShop>/category.php?id_category=1 (or the SEO URL /1-xxxxxx). However, it displays only the top level category, no tree.

How about filters?

Some way to filter the products shown by attribute.

Hi jjc,

You can try using the Layered Navigation Module to filter the products, but the closest we can get you to a category list in the center of the page at the top is to download the new 1.5 theme and add them manually to the Top Horizontal Menu module.
