Mike Kranzler
Hi Melster, There are good discussions on how to move to a new domain here and here, although if this is still a little too complicated for you, please feel free to call our support team at 888 947 6543. -Mike
Melster
Thanks for that. I have followed the instructions you said here up until this point ... Updating SEO-friendly URLs Delete (or rename) the .htaccess file on your site. In our PrestaShop admin, you now need to re-generate the SEO URLs with the new domain name. Log into your PS admin, then go to "tools->generate->generate .htaccess". -------- I couldn't locate the .htaccess file as when I tried to open it it said it was empty. I generated another file which said that it would overwrite the original .. I hope this is correct. Is the following correct ... I have removed the new domain from my old website and reset it back to 123 reg. Previously I have had to change the Name Servers to point at a website. Is there anything else I need to do so www-flyballstuff-co.uk points to my Prestashop. Thanks in advance.
Mike Kranzler
Hi Melster, Can you please check what is listed n the Back Office at the bottom of the Preferences > SEO & URLs section under "Set up URLs?" It should be pointing to your new URL. -Mike
