I have been struggling with this problem since long time , my store is taking more than 30 seconds to add products to the shopping bag , if you see this link :

and you try to add the product to the bag it always take 30 or more seconds to add it. I thought maybe an expert would be able to tell me why the hell is not working right away. what could be the issue can you please help me , I need your expertise on this.

Your site seems to be speedy and quick for adding to cart and viewing cart. What steps did you ultimately take to fix this issue or did it sort of correct itself?

I have the same results and I have the slowest internet connection in the forum. I did notice that gzip compression is not enabled. There are lots of posts on how to resolve this. Otherwise (your link product is out of stock) the other items I added to the shopping bag went smoothly.

things are pretty speedy for me as well. perhaps the issue is isolated to your computer? do you experience slowness on any other sites?

 

you might try to install firebug in Firefox or IE. that will allow you to trace what is going on. for instance, if it is taking 30 seconds to add the product, firebug will tell you what time the request left your browser, and then what time the response was received. if that is only a few seconds, then the issue is not your server, but your local computer.
