creating new pages

Hello good morning,

 

i have a question i am new to prestashop..

 

if i want to create new pages with different products is it possible ? like for example i want to create a Christmas gift guide and in that page i want to include various products from different categories.

 

but i don't have any idea how to do that ? can any one please guide me in this ?

You could use the CMS pages for the content under Tools.CMS and link to them or manage those pages in Modules>Front Office Features>CMSblock.

 

You could perhaps take a screen shot of a particular product, insert the image into your CMS page and then make the image a link. This would take you directly to that product when it's clicked.

thanks for the suggestion. the problem is if the link to the product changes for some reason.. it will give a 404 error ?

 

 

what i want is something like. take the id of the product and post it in the html tags. so it always show the same product even tho the url for the page changes ?

 

that is just my question.. i dont know if we can do some kind of things like this or not..

If you go the pages for the products you want in your Christmas list and look just above the description entry then you will see a section showing which category the products belongs to. You are able to select more than one of these.

 

This is means that all you could create a category called 'Christmas List' or 'Christmas Offers' then you could link the products you want to this new category and add some information into the category header to act as a blurb.
