Category and other blocks missing when in "my account" page

Hello. I've just upgraded from v1.3 to v1.4 and I'm adapting the free Matrice theme. Everything is working well except for the "my account" area. When I'm at my-account.php, addresses.php, history.php and identity.php, everything in the left column disappears. This includes categories block and viewed products block. When I change back to the PS default theme the problem is gone. So I guess it's theme-related?

 

I've looked at the source code and it seems like the code for those missing blocks are there but somehow just not showing when I'm in the pages I mentioned. I've spent hours trying to figure this out now but no luck. Please help, thanks.
