medfordite
First off, let me say - WOW!!!! Great Program! I am fast becoming a convert from TomatoCart which is a much welcome change. We have roughly 4700 products to import from our supplier. At first, I tried to mass import the products, but for whatever reason, Prestashop imported about 100 or so products. I manually bypassed this by dividing each product category into it's own file. For example, Watches.csv Candles.csv With this, products are moving into the store quite well and quickly even in batches of 300 products at a time in the category. I tried to import a major category just a bit ago which has just over 1000 products, and got a 500 server error. This has set off a problem now: I figured the import was too large as it was timing out the server, so I cut the products down into a smaller chunk. (100 at a time). Now, when viewing the product CSV to set the proper fields, the import isn't reading right: At first, I figured it was an issue with the way the file was saved, so I went back and tried to import a CSV which I imported successfully before. The same thing happened. I am using OpenOffice to create the CSV files which has been fine. Does any one know if the failed import with the server time out caused this issue? medfordite
Never Mind - I just figured some of it out. For whatever reason, the delimiters flipped/reversed on me so I had to set those correctly. However, the mass import of products and even categories seems to not stick properly. BTW, I reinstalled Prestashop to make things work smoother. Probably didn't need to do that, but wanted a fresh start just in case.
