ROB001
In Back Office Preferences Performance I get this message: To use Memcached, you must install the Memcache PECL extension on your server. Does anyone know how to install this properly? I tried to install the latest "stable" version. 2.2.6 from the prestashop recommended webpage at: http://www.php.net/manual/en/memcache.installation.php but I am having no luck, I am using a Linux godaddy hosting account and godaddy says that PECL is installed on a shared hosting environment, however, the module uploadprogress is not installed. Is there a step by step wiki/instructions that can give me a general idea of what to do? Thanks, Rob.

rturner
The link I was about to post is really just too basic. I would go with the Prestashop recommended guides. It has to be configured to work with php correctly. Plus, to be effective, it needs a lot of RAM. I ended up getting the web host for my vps to do it. I don't see how godaddy allows it on shared hosting, but maybe you're on one of their vps or cloud products.
