Manufacturer name disappears. Why?

Hi,

 

I'm having weird issue with the store i'm working on. I need to have manufacturer name displayed on specials block.

 

I'm getting it with a simple code:

{$special.manufacturer_name|strip_tags|escape:html:'UTF-8'}

 

Generally it works fine everywhere, except the single product page, where that name... disappears.

Is it a bug? Why that happens? Anyone knows how to solve that issue?

 

I't even more weird: I added more categories and subcategries. Now it shows up on product page but disappeard on 2 level and deeper subcategories. I didn't modify the specials block, so what it's all about?

I'm having exactly the same issue. I know it´s been more than a year since you posted this problem.
