Dave L
Hi, I have been using prestashop for some time now but I have never been able to work out what the Catalog product option of Product Condition: New, Used & Refurbished actually does. I don't see the condition being shown in product view or for that matter, anywhere. Does anyone know more about this option please.
Carolina Custom Designs
I've wondered this at times too Dave. I had a client a year or so ago that needed this listed on the product page so I had to manually insert the code so it would read the database and input 'New', 'Used' or 'Refurbished'. Perhaps others can explain more. Marty Shue
Mike Kranzler
Hi Dave, You can find the code that Marty speaks of is here. I hope this helps. -Mike
Dave L
Thanks guys. Thanks for the link Mike. I noticed I had commented in that thread. I'll have a play around with the suggested code. Mike, any chance we could get the devs to explain what the inention is with the inclusion of these options. I guess its possible its an incomplete feature. I can't imagine why the option exists in the BO with no apparent changes in the FO. I'm sure this would be a much welcomed feature if the condition was visible on the product page. Mike Kranzler
Hi Dave, It turns out that those options are really more for exporting your products (such as to eBay). However, you should be able to toggle their visibility on your Front Office if you would like by editing your template to include "product.condition" I hope this helps. -Mike
Dave L
Hi Mike, Thanks for finding out the purpose of these. It would be nice if visibility in the FO was a standard feature. Any advice on the specifics of the theme edit. Many thanks.
