Problem with translation

Recommended Posts

I have Prestashop 1.4.4.0.

I used translation to make a change in Modules for the English language.

Tried to make the change in the French language.

The French translation for the modules does not show up anymore.

It just shows Back Office separator_breadcrum.pngTools separator_breadcrum.png Translations

nothing under. Just a blank page. Tried in Firefox, Chrome , IE but same result.

The French translation works for everything else except the Modules.

How do I fix this ? Is the database corrupt ?

It used to work before.

What I did is modify blockpermanentlinks.tpl and blockpermanentlinks-header.tpl

to replace bookmark with contact us (a cms I that added)

Everything works fine except when I try to go change contact us in French I can't

because I don't get the French modules anymore.

Yes.

Unfortunately there is no option to modify the permanent links module except changing blockpermanentlinks.tpl and blockpermanentlinks-header.tpl.

I wanted to add contact us because contact brings up only the form , no address, no phone.

I decided to take a chance and modified the permanentlinks block on the live site and I don't have the problem with the translation. The live uses a Linux environment.

It seems like the problem is only with the test environment.

I'm running it on a Windows environment and I had strange problems with other shopping cart software.

When I have the time I'll try it on a Linux environment.

I never had problems under Linux for other similar software.
