Mike Kranzler
Hi Matan, You can edit the values for thickbox or any of those other image options by just clicking on the edit button for each one. You can mess around with changing them there, but just be sure to regenerate thumbnails each time near the bottom of that page! Otherwise, you won't see your changes reflected in the front office. -Mike
dedeziel
I think this will be my best chance of finding a similar solution. I want to remove the white box completely or at least have it be the same size of the product picture. I have re-sized it and regenerated thumbs several times using different WxH px and nothing I do seems to get that thing any smaller. Any help would be awesome
Mike Kranzler
Hi dedeziel, Have you already cleared your Smarty Cache and enabled Force Compile? -Mike
dedeziel
Mike, Sure did. Cleared browser cache as well just to make sure. I tried changing the thickbox to 80 x 80 and then even tried changing the picture size to 452 x 282 (thickbox size) and no matter what nothing seems to change

Have you tried checking its specific documentation that came with the download? -Mike
dedeziel
I am using a free theme that I modified. The docs that came with it were kind of basic and didnt touch base upon this subject unfortunately.
Mike Kranzler
Can you please post some screenshots of what you are trying to edit and where it is located on your site? -Mike
dedeziel
Here is a link to a product page that has the picture http://www.innov-res...ter-plasma.html I have tried a little bit of everything in the image preferences in the back office. Even tried turning the thickbox to 0 x 0. I have tried turning the medium and large images to match the thickbox when it was 80 x 80. As of right now the thickbox options are all turned off but I have also tried several combinations for that as well.
Mike Kranzler
Hi dedeziel, This is not something available by default. If you do not want to provide square images, you'll need to make some custom changes to the code in order to do this. I hope this helps. -Mike
dedeziel
Mike, I dont mid the images are square I just dont want the white box behind the picture to show at all. Mike Kranzler
Mike, I dont mid the images are square I just dont want the white box behind the picture to show at all. I was hoping to reduce its size to the same as the pic or remove the box all together I spoke with a developer, and it will actually be a bit more complicated to remove the box altogether, and if you resize it, your photos will be resized proportionally and you'll continue to have this issue. For the time being, he suggested that you use square photos, as it will cause you significantly fewer issues this way. -Mike
dedeziel
Mike, Thanks for the answer. I tried that whole making the images square thing and just like you said the pics proportion was pooched after that. Thanks for checking into it though, I guess I will start looking for pics or just deal
Mike Spike
Hi Matan, Not sure if you have found the solution to your problem, if yes, please add your solution here to help others! if no, I have some suggestions. There are a few thing you must do ensure such that the image is displayed as a rectangle without the white space. 1. Ensure that the image size is correct in the back-office under the tab 'preferences - images' 2. edit the CSS to equal the size you want the box to be. if you use Google chrome (or install debugging on Firefox), you can right-click on the image on your site and edit the CSS for the image (on your screen only) when you discover what needs changing, then change the CSS using a file editor (such as Dreamweaver) and upload it using ftp. good luck, and please keep everyone updated!
